More on the Name 'Mary Magdalene'

If you want to derive Mariam Magdalênê from Aramaic, I think the form to be used should be passive Af’el rather than the passive Pa’el form you have used, which would mean Maryam brought up in the household or Maryam the adopted. Transcribe the Aramaic as Maryam Magdalta. This would mean Maryam who has been made great.
