Cerinthos (better Kerinthos) has no satisafactory explanation. It seems to mean a horn (not the instrument, but an animal’s horn) or horny in texture.
I can’t find kerinthos in any meaning in the dictionaries. There might be a similar word meaning honeycomb (is this what you meant?), but if so, it’ s outside my vocabualuray and I’ll have to look it up. I can’t do that just yet, but I should have some time on Boxing Day.
Lamsa’s command of Syriac is good, but he is careless. You could predict that from the unsustainable claimes in his introduction. Often he prints what is the common English translations, AGAINST the reading of the Peshitta. Use this, but check anything important with Danny.
