Well I just learned that Harper One is releasing their books in paperback next month (my publisher decided to stick with another hardback reprint). Anyway ... let me clear my throat ...
The Real Messiah finally ranked higher than Jesus Interrupted on the Amazon Rankings!!!.
That doesn't mean that my book sold more copies that Ehrman's (it surely didn't). Remember my publishers don't even have a publicity department (at least they didn't have one ready to promote my book). If it wasn't for those misguided people attacking the book all over the internet this never would have sold even so much as a hundred copies.
This event is something I had been waiting to see for months. It is especially poignant as I have discovered how Ehrman rewarded Carlson's faux 'forger's tremor' hypothesis (and all the other nonsense in that book).
Here's to my 'stupid book' beating out and exposing other stupid books so that the truth can eventually shine forth in the world.
