I Will Be Continuing Our Chapter By Chapter Examination of Marqe Tonight
I have been very busy today but I plan on posting the next chapter of the Mimar Marqe later tonight. This chapter and everyone that follows demonstrates why I think Samaritan Mark is so important for our understanding of the origins of Christianity ... and any discussion of Secret Mark. Each chapter now in Book Two of the Mimar is essentially undeniable proof that the ideas in 1 Corinthians Chapter 10 (as well as earlier chapters) were developed out of traditional Samaritan assumptions about the liturgical significance of the Exodus narrative.
I wish scholars could get out from under Irenaeus' spell, but then again if they were capable of independent thought most of them wouldn't have ended up becoming Biblical scholars in the first place ...
