Marqe and Secret Mark: The Identification of God as 'Truth'

I know that Jeffrey thinks that Secret Mark's interest in the 'truth that is hidden by seven veils' has something to do with Oscar Wilde's Salome, this because both Morton Smith and Oscar Wilde were gay (by that logic Barbra Streisand should make an appearance in Secret Mark too!). Yet there is a much better explanation - the traditional Jewish (and Samaritan identification) of God sitting in a throne behind seven veils.

I know the gay conspiracy theory is more exciting but the reality is that the understanding makes an appearance in the fragments from Qumran.

Yet what about the specific term 'truth.' Is that ever used to describe God or 'the one who sits on the throne'? Irenaeus makes it explicit among the Marcosians and not surprisingly we see it as yet another parallel between the writings of Marqe and Secret Mark. The Aramaic word for truth employed by Marqe is kushta:

The letter Ṭit (i.e. Tet the ninth letter of the alphabet) was made into a great Pardes. The True One [God] said it and Abraham renewed it. The Lord planted (Genesis II:8): Truth [God] said. Abraham planted a tamarisk (Genesis XXI:33): Truth wrote it [i.e. in the book of the Torah by the agency of Moses]”. (Mīmar Mårqe, Ben-Ḥayyim’s edition, book II, paragraph 16, Aramaic text p. 123, Hebrew translation and notes p. 122. Macdonald’s translation, p. 56]
