Why is Q the Subject of Innumerable Scholarly Discussions Even Though Its Existence Has Never Been Proved And It Has Never Been Referenced by so Much as a Single Ancient Witness but Secret Mark, which IS witnessed by an Ancient Witness is Ignored?

Something I overheard during a phone conversation yesterday, that stuck out in my mind.

I guess the lesson is, if you are going to going to end up finding an ancient manuscript which overturns the established positions on the development of the gospel make sure you don't look 'queer.' Let's just leave all the discoverin' up to good old fashioned American 'family guys' ...
