Origen Connects Paul's Gospel with the Gospel of Mark
In addition to what I have just said, this must be known about the gospel: it belongs primarily to Jesus Christ, the head of the whole body of the saved, as Mark says: “The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ" (Mark 1:1) but that it also belongs to the apostles, for Paul says: “According to my gospel” (Rom. 2:16).
