The Morton Smith Papers at the Jewish Theological Society
There is a lot of misrepresentation out there in terms of Morton Smith having 'destroyed' all his notes and the like. I don't know who promotes this nonsense. Here is the list of documents preserved at the Jewish Theological Society (Morton Smith Papers, 1946–1992). It takes up 106.3 linear feet (85.3 linear feet of cards) and consist of correspondence, manuscripts, typescripts, research notes, printed material, photographs, index cards, and tapes. It is quite a substantial collection. I am planning on going to see the collection this summer.
