Tony Burke Finds a Parallel to Mark Goodacre's Explanation of the Talking Cross in the Gospel of Peter

Mark Goodacre is a wonderful scholar who has had a flash of genius recently - attributing the puzzling reference to the 'talking cross' in Gospel of Peter to a misunderstanding of a nomen sacrum. In any event, the internet being the wonderful place that it is has allowed a number of other great thinkers to come up with parallel examples of such corruptions. Tony Burke has come up with one. Both posts are well worth reading.
