Has There Been a Documented Example of Someone Trying to Forge the Byzantine Monastic Script Associated with the Letter to Theodore?
I know of Simonides's forgeries, but they involved a much simpler form of Greek writing. I am not questioning whether it was theoretically possible to forge such a handwriting as we see in Mar Saba 65. I am wondering instead if it has ever occurred. I don't think so.
