Itacism in the Earliest Hymns of Christianity

Our earliest reference to the singing of Christians as they shared the eucharistic meal identifies their song as Psalm 34. Could it even be that, as they sang "Taste and see that χρηστός (is) the Lord", it sounded to them very like, "Taste and see that χριστός (is) the Lord"?
