Boid on the Gospel of the Hebrews

You might be interested to know that Daniel Plooij has collected evidence that Marcion’s Gospel was in Aramaic. He thinks it was Syriac, but his arguments will still work if it was in Western Aramaic. He puts forward some evidence that the Diatessaron was somehow related to Marcion’s Gospel. He also argues that the best explanation is that both derive from the Gospel of the Hebrews. I think his arguments equally well support the conclusion that the Gospel of the Hebrews is Marcion’s Gospel. This would explain why it survived so long.
