Harry Tzalas on Jewish Cemeteries in Eastern Alexandria
A sample of what appears in the Real Messiah order it here
Harry wrote:
We do have numerous Jewish ancient burials in the Eastern suburbs of Alexandria. Jewish tombs were found at Ibrahimieh in accordance with Venit [2002] E. Breccia [1908] mentions Aramaic inscription in the Necropolis of Hadra, South East of Ibrahimieh. The are numerous testimonies of Jewish, ancient burial in all the suburbs know in antiquity as Eleusium, Juliopolis, Nikopolis.
The known as Old Jewish cemetery is a relatively recent grave yard not older that the mid 17th century.
