Reading Scott Brown's Dissertation Again

God, this is so annoying. What's the matter with scholarship? Why doesn't anyone recognize the WAR between the tradition of Peter and Mark except for Theodore Weeden? I certainly couldn't survive in academia. To waste all this time going through all these stupid theories like Brown does. It really all comes down to a culture war between Rome and Alexandria. Why hasn't he read Adamantius' Dialogue and the battle between Adamantius and the Marcionite as to whether Peter or Mark is the true author of the gospel? Why hasn't he read Severus Al'Ashmunein? Why hasn't he made the connection with the Marcosians or the Marcionites - the two other sects which can be identified as 'those of Mark' like Clement?

Ahhhhhh ... this is torture!

Why spend all this time bringing in all these opinions of stupid people who don't understand Alexandrian Christianity? Mann ohne fingerspitzengefuhl!

If you are interested in reading how this observation fits within my greater understanding of the workings of Secret Mark WITHIN the contemporary Alexandrian Church please go here

If you want to read more about how Alexandrian Christianity was rooted in the Jewish traditions of Alexandria, Philo of Alexandria and more feel free to purchase my new book here
